Let’s step back a moment to look at the big picture. Here we have a Crown corporation (whose board of directors is hand-picked by the BC Cabinet) being mandated by that government to pursue the twice-killed Site C project. This company has been charged with the duty of ‘consulting’ with the public and then advising the same government on whether to go ahead with the project or not. To make matters even more ridiculous, this corporation attempts to block any independent recording or reporting of proceedings by others involved in the process. Whatever happened to the “open, honest, transparent practices” campaign that our hard-earned tax dollars paid for? So much for democracy.

After having dealt with BCTC for over 4 years, we in Tsawwassen can heartily agree with the underhanded tactics of these organizations. They are deceitful and secretive and sadly the laws of the land allow them to do what they want.
A new leadership mentality is required in these crown corporations (after all, they are supposed to work for us, the taxpayers), but of course do not!
They do things because they can, not because they should.
The arrogance is unbelievable and is supported by the BC Utilities Commission who are supposed to ensure that they are doing their job correctly, but are nothing more than a rubber stamp for the poor planning and arrogance of the crown corps.
Expect more of the same as they simply do not care what you think!!!!!!!!
